Fighting for Better School Food Programs
Led a successful motion calling on governments to properly fund school food programs.
No child should have to learn while hungry.
Protecting Special Education
Fought against cuts to special education. Pushed for more staff and resources to support students with disabilities and special education needs.
Every student deserves the support they need to succeed.
Increasing Support for Parents and Caregivers
Successfully increased the number of Parent and Community Engagement Officers (PCCEOs), so they had more time to help families. Two years later, provincial funding cuts eliminated these positions — a loss I strongly opposed.
Families should not be left without support when they need it most.
Equity and Human Rights
Taking Action on Systemic Anti-Black Racism
Led successful action to improve how the TDSB addresses anti-Black racism in our schools and classrooms.
No student should face racism in the place where they learn.
Strengthening Human Rights
Led a successful motion requiring human-rights training for trustees and senior leaders.
Human rights are not optional, and accountability must start at the top.
Advancing Reconciliation and Indigenous Rights
Pushed the TDSB to follow through on its commitments to Indigenous students and communities and publicly report on its progress toward reconciliation.
Reconciliation cannot be reduced to promises without action.

Teaching Real-World Financial Skills
Worked with TDSB Student Trustees to bring a financial literacy motion to the Board.
Students deserve the practical knowledge they need to navigate the world beyond the classroom.
Strengthening Alternative Schools
Passed a motion calling for a closer look at whether TDSB alternative high schools are meeting students’ needs and what needs to improve.
Every student deserves an education that works for them.
Preparing Schools for Artificial Intelligence
Seconded a successful motion calling for a provincial plan for AI in schools and a TDSB review of how AI could affect learning, privacy, safety and equity.

Successfully pushed for an earlier review of TDSB school-trip rules so safety and accountability concerns could be addressed sooner.

Seconded a successful motion bringing schools, families, community organizations and public agencies together to prevent violence and address its root causes.
