For more than a decade, Alexis Dawson has worked to strengthen public education and support students and families — first as a parent and community organizer, and for the past four years as an elected TDSB Trustee.

Alexis knows that good policy starts with listening to the people most affected by it. She has worked with hundreds of families navigating the school system, brought community voices to the board table, and pushed for the resources our schools need.

Together with you, Alexis will continue to focus on:

• • Better Funding — Advocating for the province to address the chronic underfunding of public education and provide the resources students need.

• • Mental Health & Safer Schools — Strengthening supports, improving access to services, and tracking progress on student safety and well-being.

• • Literacy & Numeracy — Prioritizing evidence-based approaches and tracking whether they are improving student outcomes.

• • Stronger Special Education — Prioritizing the resources and supports students with a wide range of abilities and disabilities need to succeed.

• • Equity & Human Rights — Identifying and removing barriers, addressing racism, bias and hate, and working to close gaps in achievement and well-being.

• • Indigenous Education — Advancing truth and reconciliation by tracking commitments, measuring progress and holding the Board accountable for action.

• • Supporting Families — Making the TDSB easier to navigate and helping families access the information, services and supports they need.

• • Fixing Our Schools — Pushing for the investments needed to repair, maintain and green our schools.

• • Strong Community Voice — Bringing community voices into decisions about school buildings and development, community spaces, funding and other issues affecting local schools.

On October 26, re-elect Alexis Dawson as Trustee for the newly formed TDSB Ward 3: Parkdale–High Park and Davenport.
