Strong public schools. A strong voice for our community.
For more than a decade, Alexis Dawson has advocated for students, families and public education — first as a parent and community organizer, and for the past four years as an elected TDSB Trustee.
Alexis knows that good policy starts with listening to the people most affected by it. She has worked with hundreds of families navigating the school system, brought community voices to the board table, and advocated for the resources our schools need.
Together with you, Alexis will continue to focus on:
- Better funding — pushing the province to address the chronic underfunding of public education.
- Mental health and safer schools — ensuring students feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
- Stronger special education — supporting students with a wide range of abilities and disabilities.
- Equity and human rights — addressing racism, discrimination and hate, and closing gaps in achievement and well-being.
- Supporting families — making the TDSB easier to navigate and strengthening parent and caregiver voice.
- Better school buildings — creating safer, well-maintained and greener schools.
- Strong community voice — engaging communities in decisions about school buildings and development, community spaces, funding and other issues that affect their local schools.
On October 26, elect Alexis Dawson as TDSB Trustee for the newly formed Ward 3: Parkdale–High Park and Davenport.
